My great grandmother bought this rug in the 1930s. It is wool, Deco Chinese made by Nicholas Co, as far as I know.
It is huge and won’t fit in our new house ):
It isn’t perfectly rectangular, but the longest sides are “10′ 1” by 13′ 8″
I’ll be putting it up for sale soon. This rug has been used, and repaired as recently as ~2011. It looks like there was a bit of damage from storage, a few missing tassels and a bit of chewing in one corner (last photo for closeup).
If you’re interested, reach out! It is in Portland, OR.
Full rug, only spot I can lay it out is my deck (: You can see a bit of moth damage here, from being in storage for many years. Moth damage from the top Moth spots Backside of moth damage – can only see it a bit Another shot trying to capture the moth damage, from the backside. Moth damage corner, underside This corner was a bit ripped up, but we had it professionally repaired (before it went into storage, years ago)
